MHS FILM PRODUCTION CLUB

Film club will no longer be furthering anymore with meetings.

At least we gave this a shot, yeah?

If we could get another teacher to be an advisor, then maybe it’d work still… But considering how busy everyone is, I highly doubt we’d be any more productive.

Please know, just because we don’t have meetings anymore doesn’t mean you have to stop your desire to produce films.

Don’t worry so much about the club and how it had to end like this. It’s okay. We gave it our best shot and tried at least. It wasn’t a total fail.

Who knows, maybe next year something could happen? We’ll see.

But I’d like to greatly send my thanks and gratitude to the daily members who have attended most almost every club meetings. Thank you so much for your support! We really appreciated it!

Thank you, Mr. Gough too. We understand you’re absolutely tired and stressed and would like to spend more time with your son. It’s no problem. Thanks for supporting us, trying to motivate/push us, and giving us your time to let us try to do this. Thank you for everything, Mr. Gough.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM TODAY’S MEETING.

- DUE TO A CHANGE IN MR. GOUGH’S SCHEDULE, MEETINGS WILL NOW BE HELD EVERY MONDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS(with the exception of modified days) FROM NOW ON STARTING NEXT WEEK INSTEAD OF TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS.

- THERE WILL ALSO NOW BE SHORT LUNCH MEETINGS EVERY MONDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS(with the exception of modified days obviously). DO NOT WORRY, IT WILL NOT TAKE THE ENTIRE LUNCH PERIOD. PROBABLY ABOUT 10-15 MINUTES OR SO. (Yeah, I know some students out there use time to study during lunch *guilty lol).

- IF POSSIBLE, PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD OF THE CLUB TO THOSE WHO ARE INTERESTED AND WILL BE WILLING TO BE A REGULAR ATTENDEE. THE MAIN THING WE NEED IS DEDICATED, MOTIVATED MEMBERS. ~

- NOTE: WE ARE SHORT ON EQUIPMENT DUE TO A MESS UP WITH OUR ORDERS. SO RIGHT NOW WE ONLY HAVE TWO CAMERAS AND TRIPODS. WE ENCOURAGE IF ONE HAS THEIR OWN EQUIPMENT TO USE THEM FOR NOW. The orders might take about another 2 months and we can’t wait for them. We are able to still produce something without them.

- LASTLY, KEEPING THIS CLUB ALIVE AND IN A POSITIVE, ENTHUSIATIC DIRECTION IS ABSOLUTELY IMPORTANT. OUR VICE PRESIDENT IS DOING HER SENIOR CAPSTONE BASED ON THIS FILM PRODUCTION CLUB. WE NEED TO SHOW A GOOD AMOUNT OF EFFORT AND PROGRESS BY THE DEADLINE OF FEBRUARY 17. SUPPORT PLEASE!! THANK YOU!

So based off of our discussion today.. The plan is to produce a short film (approx. 1 - 2 min.) to either advertise/promote club or to just for the sake of having something [this could be done either individually or small groups]. The main point is to have fun and show how much one has an appreciation/love of film production.

If there is anything else to say/add-on ideas, please reblog and tell us.

Thank you for your support, everyone. I know things are going by slowly and the club seems to be down in the dumps, but it is not too late to change things around! C’mon guys! I know we’re busy and all, but we can do this! We can pull this off!

For club members(or anyone who’d like to participate), just a reminder about making a small video over break! :D It can be about anything(nothing nasty, yeah?). Main point is to have fun! It’s sort of a contest since the best video would get a prize. :D How we will rate it is how… Not crappy it is, I suppose (ex. constant motion of the camera to the point where it gives you a headache or overly loud ear-bleeding noises lol) You get my drift, right? Haha.
